Employee registration in Dubai

The United Arab Emirates is one of the most attractive destinations for employment of foreign citizens from all over the world. However, in order to legally carry out labor activity in this country it is necessary to undergo a number of mandatory procedures.

The first step is to obtain an Entry Permit from a potential employer. The company must have free visa quotas, and the applicant must meet a number of requirements: age from 18 years, valid license in certain areas of activity. After the Entry Permit is issued, the candidate has 60 days to enter the UAE.

Upon arrival, it is necessary to undergo a medical examination and submit a package of documents for a work visa. Here it is necessary to prepare: application, passport, photo, copies of the company license and immigration card, employment contract.

The final stage is to pass biometrics and receive an identification card (Emirates ID).

The employment contract is concluded for the period agreed with the employer with the possibility of establishing a trial period of up to 6 months. It specifies working conditions, currency of salary payment (usually UAE dirhams) and housing conditions. Salaries are paid through the WPS system, which guarantees the transparency of the process.
Emirati labor laws stipulate working hours of no more than 48 hours per week with breaks every 5 hours. Overtime hours are paid with a premium of 25 to 50% depending on the time of day. If you are unable to find an employer in the country, you can come on a tourist visa and use its period to search for vacancies. However, remember that tourist status does not give the right to work.
Following all stages of legalization in the UAE is extremely important, as illegal work is fraught with serious fines and deportation. But if all formalities are followed, expats have access to interesting work, high salaries and comfortable accommodation.
